not familiar with this brand and not seen any mention of it on searches on here?
Is it of value for a P38 Dse or better hanging fire for a Nanocom?
Then there’s Hawkeye?..........
Help ‍♂️

Don't think it works on the P38. Nanocom best for that although I believe Lynx does most things. Hawkeye works OK too.

Actually, Faultmate is best but that costs a kidney.

I have been given icarsoft lr2. I have a 2000 dhse and it reads engine ecu with live data clears codes, reads traction control and abs, also srs system, that's it. The Nanocom is best, but as afreebie from my brother not complaining. Have access to Nanocom so not too worried. Don't think it will work on a pre 99 P38

Beat me to it Saint.v8 was going to film same tomorrow and put on. What are F1 and F2 mine doesn't have them but every thing else seems to be the same
Cheers rubberknees

Just thought as an OBD2 really very good works brill on my 07 mx5, sons audi A3, BMW 218 , Citroen C3 and fords I have used it on

I had the iCarsoft CR Plus that had all the makes and models of cars and trucks. Though I never tried it on a diesel, it was good for the basic monitoring or reading and clearing fault codes on a multitude of cars/trucks .
I ended up selling it and buying a Foxwell NT510 (there is a newer NT520 Pro model) and a Nanocom.
As everyone mentioned, the Nanocom is a definite must have for the Land Rover owner.

There are many generic readers but they won’t do many things you would need a diagnostic for on P38 diesel. You need a dedicated unit unless you have loads of vehicles. Hawkeye is okay but won’t do some stuff nanocom will and expensiverer. Nanocom is cheapest one that will do everything you need. There is better but if you only have the one P38 and it’s long term like me it’s nanocom06 or nothing.

Fits in glove box so you can keep it with you and holds a memory card for live readings, does key sync and all that plus codes will make sense to the people on here.
Seen many people with L322 codes on cheap reader no one knows what they mean ask @gstuart

Looks like I need to get some overtime in quick then, and invest in a Nanocom.

Thanks for everyone’s input, been really helpful and hopefully made me come to the other conclusion.

If any one hears of a unit for sale, please keep me in mind. Cheers.

There is only a few that will admit to having a Freelander1 on here?

Hi

Don’t know why but the normal obd sites I use I can’t access at the moment , maybe there doing site maintenance

Have also found in the past putting the fault code into google and putting Land Rover in front has bought up the meaning

Will try again in the week to see if there up and running again

This was one of them

Defo Nanocom for any P38. I have iCarsoft i930 which seems to be ok for reading & clearing faults on L322 & Freelander (wife's), but cannot do any settings as far as I know.

For other friends & kids cars I have Delphi Auto-Com (Chinese copy ) that works on most port 2004 cars quite well. It even works for some systems on the 2003-2006 L322 which surprised me.
