yeah, just ordered a buzz gun so will give that a go when it gets here.
On another note... when I am replacing this VCU do I need to mark anything up - seen a couple of vids, and in one where the guy marks up the prop with tipex to make sure it goes back in exactly the same way - is this needed? we didnt mark up the positioning on the car, but can mark up the different joints on the prop if its needed. If it was a solid prop I could understand, but with having a vcu in the middle does it make that much difference? unless I am missing something.
You can mark up the bearing's location on the floor (there's a notch in the bearings for this). But if you didn't mark them, you just need to make sure the VCU is refitted along the centre line of the vehicle, with the bearings at exactly 90° to the VCU shafts.
Cheers Nodge, didnt think it was worth marking the props up - but best thought I would check with the experts, and yeah bought a decent set of hex sockets before I bought the impact wrench.
