I did Nothing with it but did fill in a little bit of paperwork to hopefully gets it some shiny new number plates towards end of the week.
Let’s see how that goes

So tomorrow is check everything and give it a run up the road, might be a little hooligan involved once warm

No coppaslip again! Were they **c*ing allergic
I don't have replacements was planning on cleaning them up and the copper ring is sheared off the cable It's cylinder one right behind the water pipe

My current plan is to borrow a soldering iron somehow With solder, use it weld the snapped bit back to the plug, then solder the cable to the tip

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Is it your daily runner?

Your going to need some soldering iron to heat that glowplug tip up!!
And don't forget the plugs are heated to get them to work... Your solder could fail...

If the other 5 glowplugs are good, it will start OK with 1 not working.

Put new Beru ones in as soon as Eurocarparts do one of their 75% off deals - or ring their London office and see what you can get off. Again, I put the part numbers on here somewhere as Beru have their own ones different to Land Rover.

Fit new plugs. That is my idea.

Put the number plate up for sale today off the new one. Personalized numbers mean nothing to me and hopefully it will pay for parts and I'll take whatever number DVLA send me.

New plugs will still have no copper ring to supply voltage so still soldered? I'm not comfortable with auto electrics but will give anything a go. It is my daily runner but I don't need to go anywhere today. might aswell try temporary fix as blank the cabe.
I'm glad it didn't snap off in the block and atleast have the body to blank the hole. It has a nice dip where it snapped so may join okay if it doesn't melt on startup Maybe JB weld?

Don't think you can transfer if there is a break between taxed and sorned,.

Just crimp a new ring terminal on the wire and stick a new plug in it and stop being a skinflint !

SORN doesn't seem to be the problem, the issue is no tax and this could be weeks away yet and I can't afford to tax another with selling one (of four) off the drive..
