As part of my overland coversion project I am looking at how to provide a cargo barrier behind the rear seats so that I can put luggage on top of the shelving system (yet to be built/bought).
The obvious answer is a Dog Guard (STC50323) which itself looks robust enough, but while the upper fixings do screw into the body, they do so through a plastic bracket, and the lower fittings just seem to screw into the plastic trim.
Does anyone have one and if so is it suitable as a cargo restraint?
Can anyone recommend a suitable product if not?

All the best ones I've seen were custom built out of either square or round tube with weld mesh of various hole sizes welded to them, i have seen a few decent commercial vehicle ones but obviously they are mass manufactured for high volume commercial vehicle sales.

Are you doing a build fred?
