Halfords tool boxes?

One of my mates has the industrial model in black. He’s happy with it and it’s good quality kit, better than their other tool boxes. Their tools and I believe boxes too, have a lifetime warranty.

If you check the Halfords website, they often have offers which means quite a saving.

I have one, the drawers can be a bit temperamental to open sometimes but compared to the price of snapon boxes I can live with a bit of tugging.......the same can be said for the wife as it happens....

I've got the Advanced 6 drawer tool chest and have had no issues in using it. The drawers run smoothly despite a full load and with a trade card in a sale it was a real bargain. The only issue was that the first one I bought had been damaged in transit and the upper lid did not close properly. However, they replaced it straight away.

All sorted , trade card discount too, I got the 6 drawer one, its a fairly decent bit of kit, one of the wheels is wobbly on its bearings but it will be stationary and I need it for a start on Monday so no time to ask Halfords to sort it, but for what it costs Im well happy, drawers work smoothly, the self closing thing is pretty nice, finish is good, its all bent steel construction so Im not sure that it would take a battering but its a tool box so it will just sit there in the workshop holding tools , Im sure it will cope just fine. Yeah, so , all in all happy chappy.
Thanks again guys.

Out of curiosity guys, how did you know how much the discount was? I cant see it on the web site.

Cool , thanks, I had to activate my card, they said they did it in the shop but its all good now, I did notice somethings were more expensive on the trade card than they are in the sales.

The trade price on their tools and storage is always pretty good, so I suspect that the trade price is what you would pay regardless of the sale. Hence in some cases the sale price is lower.

This is great, some decent reductions, Im going to be doing a fair bit of shopping at Halfords I reckon, sales guy told be consumables and service items on trade cards are always good deals.

If you are looking at a set of tools or bigger stuff , then make sure to look during the big sale times, example: the 200 pc socket set, is now £158 trade price even in their "big Sale" . But during "black friday" it was trade price of £130. So the trade prices do fluctuate quite a bit.

Cheers

Fair point, I picked up one of those sets at £130 myself - fantastic value. That is now my garage set and the previous one sits in the Atlas 46 Yorktown tool roll Santa brought (brilliant bit of kit, but way too expensive to justify other than as a Christmas present), which now holds the portable tool set for the Disco.
