OK I've started loads of threads on this so will put them all together.in one.
As above Trying as I have never done anything like this before but I can HONESTLEY Say that if it was not for this Forum and the people on here giving me help and advice I could not have got this far. so Thanks Very Much.
Still a very long way to go but I'm enjoying every second of it.
Anyway here's the start.
One of my biggest mistakes was I bought it like this, I really wanted a full one so that I could dismantle it myself so I would have a good idea how things went back together.
Think I've got maybe 90% of parts to rebuild.
I'm a bit farther on with it now so will add pics every now and again,

Got 2 coats of the top coat on, its still wet in pic but looks better when dry, Started on the backing plates, shouldn't be long till its all built back together.

Sweet little jrt. I've been looking at getting coloured paint for chassis from arc rite but that does look really Good!
 
Little bit further on today, Had 3 Top coats on but probably 2 would have done. Looks really well
Stub axles and backing plates fitted with new gaskets and torqued up. Ready for new brakes
Next Job Hubs, clean prime and paint then new seals and bearings fitted.

Something I've learned along the way is to use a Good Brush when hand painting. I don't have any facilities for spray painting as Im in my allotment Garden using a Generator. I did the front axle first and thinking its just an axle I would just use a cheap paint brush, anyway as you can see from photos it was not a good idea, The rear was done with a decent quality brush is much better, from now on will be using the same brush for anymore painting.
First two photos front, feel like rubbing it down again and repainting, and second two rear, I know its not a perfect finish but it seems good enough.

Lovely. I know what you mean about brushes. I bought some purdy ones when doing my Windows at home (still wooden frames) and the finish is so much better. I plan to do my disco in a military/enamel by hand at some stage. There are some talented hand painters out there on the likes of narrow boats. They lay off the paint perfectly. I don't need a perfect finish and don't expect one. That corroless looks spot on. Looking forward to getting some on mine
 
Waiting on funds so I can get chassis galvanised eventually. Thought Id try the bulkhead for size as its just had 2 new front outriggers welded on. seems OK as bolts went straight in, hope this means all the doors ect will eventually line up too, when the time comes. Or am I Wishful Thinking??

This is how my chassis is at the moment 110 C S W, it will be eventually shot blasted then Galvanised.
Now if I decide to change it to a Pickup or Van Body, will they just bolt on or would there have to be other brackets ect added ??
I have the brackets that go on the middle outriggers.

Trial fitting a few more bits, everything seems to be lining up perfect, so no more welding on chassis, just a little tweaking here and there.
Cant wait to get it Galvanised so I can start building.
