Morocco South West Coast

I am heading to Morocco again at the end of the month. I am hoping to do the south west coast which I did not have time to do when I went last year. Looking to head south along the coast from Legzira to Ei Ouatia and maybe further. I have not done this area before and know that along this part of coastline there certainly used to be some very impressive ship wrecks. However I have been unable to pinpoint their exact locations or find any information on if they are still there, any mention of them seems to be a few years ago now so is quite possibly out of date. Does any one know if there are and still on the coast and their exact location/accessibility?

Also does any one know if you are still allowed to drive along the beaches? Again I have found mention that it has been outlawed and you need to keep to tracks off the beach itself however have not found any confirmation of this.

I went last year and did the mountains and erg chebbi dunes. After all of the research from that trip I know that everything online is very out of date, we finished our two week itinerary in ten days and went back to the mountains. The road conditions have improved hugely and you can cover far greater distance in less time than previous blogs make out. This is why I am trying to find some up to date information on if there are still any wrecks on the coast. Still going to do the coast mind, but don't want to end up missing something interesting for the sake of being a few miles.

Yes, there are two wrecks about 15Km's south of Sidi-Ifni. We used to wild-camp there, studying the geology and catching fish to BBQ.
There are a few fishermen's shanties there, so buying fresh fish straight from the sea is always available.
There are wild gerbils in abundance as well as birds of prey. We often witnessed smaller birds being dived upon and eaten on the over-looking bluffs.
The beach can be found by,
driving south from Sidi-Ifni. You'll see a disused airfield on your right on the village outskirts.
Then, eventually you will pass a rubbish tip. You cant miss this as it stinks to high heaven.
After this you will eventually drop down into a gorge where the road bears to the right imediately after. Turn off the road at the bottom of this gorge and head for the sea.
You should see water on your left as you travel along the dusty track, crossing over close to the sea. That's the beach and one wreck is there. A second wreck lies further along the beach and is asily visible.

I hope you can find the beach. It was our favourite. We often moved onto Fort Beujerife afterwards.
That's another great camping place. Another favourite. And as you're in a 4x4 you can easily go across country.
We had a RAV4 at that time and it travelled very easily.
