P38A Heater matrix o rings help!!!!

Thanks will get rubber next problem will be the diameter of the pipe that come out of the Nissens matrix core hopefully the same diameter as the engine bay side I think it’s 20cm

19mm rubber heater hose is what I use.
Will be a fairly tight fit over the heater outlets on the matrix and the metal pipes in the engine bay.

Got the 19mm pipe delivered pick it up tomorrow changed the o rings that cured the leak just got to wait for the new matrix to arrive next week I hope thanks to Martinuk for his advice

I changed the O rings on my P38 8 years ago, no leaks since so I don't think I will go to the trouble of replacing the matrix.

New heater matrix turned up but it's got a length of sticky back foam with it that would fit around both ends I've I cut it can anyone tell me where it's supposed to go please

In an Audi it would probably go around one/both ends. In the P38, I use it around the end that goes into the heater box. I then use some thicker stuff around the end at the entrance to the heater box, so it helps hold the core in place, and seals it up to stop air from bleeding out

MrGorsky sealed all the joints on the heater system on reassembly with the same stuff. Air absolutely blasts out now.

Oh rite not good then surely it's only supposed to exist from the vents I've ordered some expanding foam in different sizes so hopefully will cure that problem
