Don't forget everybody here can post reviews on any product. If it currently isn't listed then you can even add the products yourself.

Hi all

It seems that a lot has been said at this site about the vortex exhaust. The technology does work and we are going to provide more detail on our website in the very near term.

The vortex unit does reduce back pressure and this in a correctly tuned vehicle will affects the mpg, emissions and power. Roy has stated that it reduced his emissions by about half in round terms. He says he got no extra power and no fuel efficiency gain. If he turned his fueling the other way to his natural inclination of more is better he would find he would not lose power but would increase mpg.

It is not uncommon for road vehicles to gain more than 100 miles per tank in range with a vortex fitted. We have hundreds of owners of Land Rovers with this outcome after fitting a vortex exhaust.

If you want more information phone me at Vortex and I will provide you with proof. Tel: 01708 868898

Come on then,
All you hundreds of Landy owners who have had the 'Vortex' exhaust system fitted, let's hear it from you.
Has this system got anything to offer or is it just so much hot air !!!
To be honest, I for one will be surprised if we get any answers at all from any of these 'hundreds' of people.
Cruisermik.

I'm very interested in this product. I've recently fitted a K&N filter, Magnecore 8mm HT leads and a Mark Adams GEMS Tornado chip(s) to my 4.6HSE. Mark was excellent after my initial contact via email and telephoned me. We talked for an hour about the V8 engine that is used in classics and P38's and he knows all about different setups as he tunes many of his customers cars at rolling road facilities around the country. TVR owners also use him and his products.

Anyway, one of the reasons that I was interested in the Vortex was that Mark said that the exhaust sytem actually makes more of a difference than many people think when chipping a V8. The standard exhaust sytem bore is ideal. He told me that he found that customers with large bore exhausts were not gaining as much (if any) power from the V8 via the exhaust. Also he thought the standard 2 pipe (newer P38) were not efficient as the 'Y' conection in the system tended to be a bit more of a 'T' which was not efficient.

Anyway, I'd love to try this Vortex on a standard P38's exhaust system. A sports exhaust system for a P38 costs a wacking £500 upwards. If you can fit a Vortex and get the same effect then maybe this is the answer all P38 and Classic owners are after. Mike - maybe you can contact Mark and see if he would be willing to rolling road a few customers cars before and after the Vortex was fitted?

Rich

Sorry for taking eight days to see and reply to your message. I have been busy. If you could send me Marc Owen’s details I will be happy to contact him.

If you wish to phone me I will sort something special out for you regarding a vortex (tel:01708 868898).

Contact for Mark is:

Fax: 01694 720143

Email: [email protected] and also [email protected]

Could prove benificial to both parties, eh....? If you do some testing, please, please supply some data. Please remember that we only discussed this (informally) by phone and I may have misunderstood some of Mark's technical information.

Regards,

Richard

Would it improve the performance of a 1970 F reg 2.6 litre series station wagon running on triple 40 DCOE Webers?

Only asking ...
