r380 gearbox id

Hi all..first time ever on a forum! i have purchased my first land rover defender 110..it's an 53 plate td5 ex scottish and southern power utility vehicle in very very solid condition..unfortunately his has a whine on the gearbox and is more audilbe in 4th and 5th gear under load..the gear box has been removed and stripped and the culprit bearings found.but i intend to overhaul the box plus transfer box.. it also has a pto box that drives the forward winch, which gave a little trouble when dropping gearbox..but my question is .. i know that it is a r380 box but there is no serial numbers at all on the gearbox case.the face plate where it should be is devoid of any numbers or marks..how can i determine which suffix it is by the internals if that is possible as i need to get the bearing kit..many thanks..

if its td5 it will be suffix k or l earlier suffix j had 2 bearings that were smaller than later k and l yo can tell from front cover plate later is deeper to house the larger bearing
