So my daughter borrows my trusty old freelander and trashes it, she drove it with the engine light on and it overheated and all the water has gone. After getting it recovered and the driver of the truck stated it was the head gasket as they are always going which I thought was strange as its a diesel and not the k series engine. I carried out a pressure test at 18psi and the water level held for a while but then I noticed a drip from the bottom hose which is now fixed so it would seem as there is no oil in water or water in oil head gasket is ok. obd tester is coming up with
1. P001 fuel volume regulator open circuit - which in English I am assuming is the control solenoid on the injector rail ????
2.P0115 - Eng coolant temp ECT sensor circuit malfunction which I believe is a simple plug in sensor, any idea where iy is
of course after cooking the engine I may have a turbo issue
Car will not start
engine warning light cleared but comes straight back on
any advice most gratefully received
