Just bought a B reg 110 V8 County Station Wagon, 4 speed + overdrive....needs work obviously.

The V8/4 speeder is not really my cup of tea and my first thought was rip it out for a diesel conversion.

Would it be better, as in worth more, if left a V8 / standard or will I rip it to bits and diesel it :)

Is it a factory V8 Defender? If so you’ll reduce the value changing it for a diesel.
If not then it doesn’t matter, if you prefer 28mpg rather than 14mpg then go for it.

It's worth more as a genuine factory V8 110 and IMHO too many factory V8s have been ripped apart to stick diesels in them
Nothing wrong with diesels  but I think its a shame to spoil an original V8 nowadays as there's not many left!

Aye in an ideal world where petrol was free Id have a v8 any day but 10mpg in an old 3.5 just to have a cool noise is probably not going to happen :)

A td5 might have been found :)

Anyone want a V8 starts and runs and has driven 10 feet :)

A guy on here is looking for a basic v8 for his 90. He has a diesel that may be spare. You want diesel and he wants v8, not sure where this is going....
