Clutch Steel Pipe Needed Urgently Southampton

Anyone know where I can get a solid clutch pipe for a defender 90 NRC8330 within the next couple of days around Southampton? Whilst doing the upgrade to the puma pedal box, the pipe has snapped whilst undoing the union and obviously with new year the earliest I can get one at the moment is probably the 3rd.

Make your own up using copper pipe. I did this as a tempory fix when mine failed 4 years ago and is still going strong. You should be able to get the correct diameter pipe (larger than brake pipe) and the fittings from a local motor factors, maybe even halfords.

Cheers, I've got all of the flaring tools and pipe to do brake pipes, just not the clutch pipe- part of the reason it didn't get sorted during the rebuild. I've got a new one on order so may just have to wait for it to turn up.

Steel pipe is a bugger to flare, it sometimes splits as your flaring too ...

Can you not use cupro-nickel?

copper would be better with 1/4 clutch piping, unless you have a professional flaring kit

Invest in a good hydraulic flaring tool such as the mastercool kit and flaring stainless is a doddle.
