Its for the porsche he is selling as well mate. Why would you put a picture of that on your auction other than to raise bids hopefully. I would be wary of buyng off someone doing that. The bad feedback to the amount of cars he has sold would put me off to be fair The choice is down to you though.
I mustard mitt, I am sceptical of it, however, I might just be passing this weekend so if I had a look and it's OK, I might just have a go.

you could try, worth a look, but to be honest he is probably a private seller just flipping cars for the max price by getting other people to bid on them. I suppose if you go with the cash he may be open to offers to save on fees ;)

I'll see. It's about 4hrs drive so I wouldn't go just to have a look but if I'm going that way anyway I'll see if I can get to see it.
I'm not in a desperate hurry but I've got about 8-9k that if not spent will get "used" by SWMBO

"service history" is mostly MOT prints. Doesn't show the dash ? Maybe it's broken ?

Has gearbox been maintained, etc. ?

Baby steps, the 385hp 4.2 will ease you in just grand......
You have more aptitude and application than I can muster, oh , and funds, the all important funds.;)

Hmmmmm, all good points not spotted on my phone!
I think I will probably spend more and get one at the "normal" prices (8k plus seems to be they starting point)

Yeah, I'm not even against a 4.4 but it would have to be a stunning low mileage example and I think I'd always be slightly disappointed without the supercharger

Well I had the 4.4, and it was just dandy, but I reckoned if a S/c was available for similar money I'd definitely have plumped for it, cool factor an all that jazz.

Your no dud, you know what you want.

Oh I know exactly what I want, it's just that having just bought 'er indoors a new sportage, the funds for my toy are slightly more limited than I would have liked.
It's a case of do I go with a cheap 4.4 and upgrade in a year or do I go the budget 4.2 route?
The p38 was cheap and has been fantastic but it was throw away money.
If I spend 8k then and it goes horribly wrong then I have a big problem.
Maybe I need to look into third party warranties???
