i can't believe the V8 lost, i thought it would be an easy win hands down

D3 weighs a ton more for starters, has t/c and independent suspension and has more bhp, D1 didnt stand a chance.

Ive never understood peoples obsession with the rover v8 theres way better engines out there.

I don't think a tug of war can be used as a comparison as most of it is down to tyre grip

didn't release that ref the weight difference , wasn't expecting the outcome , i wasnt 100 percent if he had indeed destroyed is axle,

But if you are going to attempt a tug of war, then do it on even ground. The bump in the ground just behind the D2's wheels probably did more damage than was envisaged.

We all should be aware of what can happen to a rope, strop or even a chain when under tension and things go wrong. Who the hell allowed that little girl to try jumping over the tow strop? Just plain stupid and asking for trouble.

couldn't agree more, really made me wince when i saw that girl step over that rope and like all of us know how dangerous is can be

there was a video i saw a while back of a rope snapping whilst trying to recover a vehicle on the beach and nearly took a blokes head off

same with winches , u see videos of people stepping over the wire whilst it's under tension , maybe not realising it can turn into a giant cheese grater

Thats just it the rover v8 never had enough power unless you spent serious money on it, then there was the fuel consumption
