Whats this and do I have to do something

Hi,
Could someone let me know what this is and do I have to do something to stop all this crud coming out. Nothing seems a tight fit here just held loosly together. A big source of my latest oil leak. Cleaned out the intercooler lately but working back this seems to be the next thing to sort.

Constant depression valve for crankcase vent. Maybe would benefit from a clean out but gently does it.

Put a new o ring on mine yesterday. As Wammers said gently does it, the plastic gets brittle after time. Another job for your Wynn's possibly.

Many thanks Sir, I'll take a closer look tomorrow and see what I can do with it.

Well, thought I would just do the "constant depression valve". Ended up taking the rocker cover off and cleaning the mesh filter, cover and resealing it all. Hopefully its all breathing easier and stopped another leak.
