Freelander 1 rear roof bars on 3 door?

so these roof bars that some of the 3 door freelander have, see with these fitted can this rear part of the roof still be removed with these in place out of interest, as they look ok and would maybe get a set to fit them?

also the front headlight cages that you get, are these the same fit for 3 door and 5 door? as long as from pre facelift obviously!
just asking a few questions as i notice my local breakers have a few in with loads of nice looking parts so i might go along and see what i can get, i see facelft bumpers and lights and roof barsd and light cages etc etc, but not going to buy stuff if they dont fit lol

IIRC peole can removed the rood with the bars installed - just a bit more trickey.

When you get things like roof bars, A bars etc from the breakers or eBay - make sure you get all the bits necessary to fit them - bolts brackets etc. Often you won't know what bits you need so it is a gamble unless you can remove the bits yourself.

I've never tried it with the roof bars on, but looking at mine it wouldn't be easy to get the roof off with the bars still in place.
As @GrumpyGel says, make sure you get all the bits from the breakers, the brackets to hold them in place are separate from the bars and need removing from the roof/back.

Too bloody right. And when you have nevr had the bars you don't know what's missing until you realise you have nothing to bolt the bars too, or everything is floppy because the rubbers are missing. Luckily my breaker was pretty easy going and some poor Easter European had to totter about on the roof of a Freelander (head through the sunroof) which was 3 cars up a pile while I controlled him using mime.
