Had a great surprise today went to my daughter's / ex wife's house where my garage is and found son had fitted the screen inc frame back on and was in the middle of fitting the roof on and said he is going to get some painting done later so I will go back round tomorrow and see how he has got on as I helping a mate put a shed up and needed some tools to do it and wasn't expecting son being there but it looks a lot better now with the new roof on, will post pic's later in the week :)

Fitted the SP doors yesterday whilst son was out on a job then when he came back he painted them but need another coat yet which should be done either today or tomorrow, we also fitted the new rear door and painted it last week aswell but I completely forgot about posting a pic of it fitted and painted so here are all 3 doors fronts fitted and in-painted and the rear door fitted and painted

Then work will re-start on the 2a from next week starting with re-work removing all the BP stuff off it and replaced with Bearmach or equivalent as the BP stuff was originally fitted for selling purposes but now I am keeping the 2a it is having decent stuff fitted to it instead :D

Yippee I finally got the 2a back in the garage yesterday, had a couple of niggles with the 90 during the week but all sorted now so as I am in work today and off tomorrow I will start by removing the new std leaf springs and leave the chassis on axle stands till I get the new Para's, pull the engine out to replace the BP oil seals, carry on building the engine as I had left it with the head off with the block face oiled and covered and a tarp over the whole thing inc chassis, I checked it when I got it back into the garage yesterday and everything was how I had left it so no worries there, fit the timing cover and that side of the engine is done and ready to refit once the new Para's are fitted :D

Engine out, springs off and chocked the chassis on the axles temporary so I can move it in one piece as I am off in a few weeks and need to fit some extra shelving up in the garage as it mite be a few weeks before I can get the new para's plus I want to get the oil seals replace on the engine ready for refitting once the new springs are on

Looking forward to see the result.

Yeah I was originally going for the safari look but as it was originally a van which will probably suit my need better I'm going with the van look instead but all in limestone, toying with the idea of either LWB wheels or if I can get them 2B wheels as I want the more std look with std ish looking wheels rather than the Modular's that are on it now although it will have a tdi under the bonnet, Def 3.54 diffs, an Ashcroft / Syncro gearbox's hi ratio gearbox ( not decided yet ) plus an o/d with 7.50's for more higher gearing to suit motorways better, that's the plan anyway :)

Just put an order in for a set of GME front Parabolic's, an Elring full head gasket set inc HG and Bearmach front and rear oil seals, will order the rear springs next pay day as I just want the front end safely on the ground so I can re-fit the engine once the oil seals are fitted then I can fit the head and the rest of it once the engine is in as its easier to torque the head down with the engine in than it is on the bench :D

Week off this week so been spending the last few days fitting the new front Parabolic springs, replacing the front and rear oil seals to the engine as I had replaced them with BP seals earlier this year before we decided to keep the 2a so I have now replaced them with Bearmach ones, re-fitted the engine and re-fitted the cylinder head as it was just easier to torque down with the bottom end bolted to the gearbox and chassis, just got a few other bit's n bob's to fit like bump stops, flexi brake pipes and stuff that I have had laying around from when we bought them month's back :D

Will post pic's later :D

Just a few pic's of the new front paras fitted and the engine re-installed with the cylinder head fitted :)
