It wasn't a navarna was it

No a Transit, been sitting down the farm for a while and he needed a spare wheel.I was quite happy cleaning the inside of the red one after the trip to the tip the other day when I got the call for help.

Quite literally went to speak to a man about a dog. 120 mile round trip to get a man in his 70s a dog to keep him company. Golden Girl behaved as she should and the little rescue staffie was happy as a sandboy in her.
All in all, a feel good day.

No don't need photos, my imagination is good enough, I know how accidents like that pan out it, can all go tits up very quick.

I would prescribe a large measure of liquid pain killer when it starts to hurt

If only mate, had to cut right down since the stroke, maybe no pain is down to loss of sensation in that leg. Every cloud hey.

Fitted damper to cubby box.

Fitted missing cooler pipe bracket.
Sweet

Replaced oring on the dip stick.
Who's stupid f'in idea was that? Pull out dipstick tube. Oil comes out. Shove it back. Fetched catch tray. Changed seal and cleaned up the tube where it's been siliconed in the past. Clean of sump. One less oil leak. Grand

Still the water pump oring, transfer pipe below the thermostat oring and rad mount rubber to fit at the weekend hopefully alone with finishing off painting the door tops.

Oh and left phone under bonnet and went for a drive. Lucky b'tard it was still there when I looked later.

I remember once, years ago, doing a service on my Ford capri, after which, it wouldn't start. Spent hours going through everything and had my brother towing me up and down the street trying to get it to start as I'd flattened the battery. It went dark so I broke out the torch as I needed it next day. Glint of brass on the inner wing, what's that I thought, only the bloody rotor arm, put it back and with the last tiny bit in the battery, it fired up.
Amazing how it stayed there having been towed 2 miles up and down the street!

It's hard to choose after having both I did love the auto and it suited the torque curve better

But then the manual revs sit lower in gear and it pulls harder in the gears.

I think if I was out to buy another it'd be a lazy auto doozle.

Manual took more getting used too and keeping it above 1500 or it's just dire sounds like your working it harder.

Even still it's still a cracking motor

Went To a scrappy I got for 40quid
Eas compressor and valve block and dryer.
Both Inner and 1 outer tail lights clear
A clear front indicator
Headlights
4drive shafts.
2 fuel flap motors and switches
Tailgate struts
Washer jets.
A brand new heater hose in the bag.
Eas underseal relay (I think the black one)
A no 4 injector as spares

Going back for 100
he's got 4 near new Dunlop airbags and 4 genuine shocks.
Few bits of plastic trim I forgot.
A new steering wheel and near new looking steering box.

My thoughts exactly, you might get the compressor or the rear lights for £40 but not much else round there, that lot would be nearer 200, if you can find a p38 in a scrap yard, mind I have trouble finding one still open most have closed down.

I did nothing with her today, just walked to the dentist . BUT did get a bit more good news ref man and dog. Old guy couldn't afford adoption fee of £150, so I offered to pay it. A woman called Louise from www.giveadogabone.net phoned me today, the charity is covering his adoption fee AND putting him in a scheme to help with ongoing costs. The charity is specifically to help over 60s get a furry companion. They recognise the benefits of a pet for older people,on their own, but also that they can't pay £150 plus, to adopt.I know who I'll be raising money for on my next challenge.

Really? There was 4 in there 3 v8s and a Diesel auto.

Going back for whatever I can get there's heaps I forgot
Trims
Rear wiper motor.
Taking a set of callipars because I can.
Just going to take a pair of complete axles.
If v8 fuse boxes would work with my diesel il be taking the 2dry ones.
There was a nudge bar but it was bashed
So hopefully pending on a laptop and setting up and 4 brand new height sensors and whatever else Iv forgot
itl be back on air quicker then I hoped.
