Does anyone know where I can get a metal (not plastic) 300TDi radiator repaired (refinned) at a more reasonable price; as local peeps want to charge circa £180.

@The Mad Hat Man - I got a drain plug braised up at Bagshot Radiators a while back, although they are no longer in Bagshot..... They moved to a farm yard over Odiham way, so a bit nearer to you now.
