Can anybody tell me what and where I may find tasteful mods for my 04 freelander. Wing mirror covers, chrome trim, bonnet bra's etc

That is quite good! I feel you have potential on lz, despite the freelander. You will like @Hippo , he is well known on lz, despite a similar affliction!

Hi cheers for teaching my grandmother to suck on those eggs, appreciated. I'm not giving in to any pressure at all. As for it being a stupid fad, that started in the 80s. That's one hell of a "fad", to sustain a market and cross the ocean and still be going strong almost 40 years on. My vehicle is my pride on joy, and if I feel that such things look good or tasteful then that's my opinion. It's also my opinion that people that attach over the top spot lamps, and huge suspension raises is fowl. I asked for advice, not hypercritical remarks.

Ok, survival skill 101, for being a confessed freebie owners is have some thick skin, give it as well as you get it. Oh and that applies to being a LZ member also. So enjoy and welcome to LZ.
