Hi all,
Talk about multiple issues happening in a short space of time. My Series 2 Disco is needing a fair bit of TLC but I am conceding defeat in being able to carry out the necessary repairs due to nowhere to carry out said repairs (I have no off street parking), free time to do it and the ready cash to complete. It needs:

Trailing arm bushes replacing,
Leaking A.C.E. system (that old chestnut),
a rusted through hole in the NSR wheel arch,
Leaked Headliner (that old chestnut)
OSF wheel bearing (lots of old chestnuts appearing)
OSF Shock
Replacement Key as i dropped then stepped on the only one I have and the fob buttons fell out. All this coupled with it snapping off in the barrell!!! (I am cursed, but it still turns over and starts 1st time)
Rear wiper arm which is easy fix
and NSF auto window reg which is an easy fix.

Then when all this is sorted I have to put it through the MOT

I can not afford the time and cost to complete all this and its a shame that its now sitting there SORN because its a smashing vehicle. So it needs to go to someone who can give her the attention needed.

So advice time folks, I have been told that it could go for around £1500 is its current state but with 164k on the clock i'd be happy to let her go a bit cheaper, unless you think otherwise. What do you reckon??

thanks in advance

Year?
Model Spec?
Engine?
Any MOT still in place?

Are you trying to sell it?

No off street parking, I take it, it is not parked on the road then??

Cheers

2002 TD5
MOT ran out

Trying to convince myself to keep hold and fix over time but just seems a shame.
I am somewhat torn because I have enjoyed driving it but the bigger picture is suggestion i should sell.

Well a small layby on the road (4 car space)

Then be careful, it may be that it will be an issue if it is SORNED. Double check you are OK with it there.
How did you come by that list of issues? were they picked up by an MOT?

TBH, with no MOT to drive it away. Any price is going to be as cheap as chips.

Cheers

If it's as good as you say I'd still keep it and try to fix it, 'cos with no MOT and those faults you'll not get what you want for it ...

However .. please .. don't try to sell it on here (Landyzone) until you have more than 50 constructive posts. Your post is likely to be removed immediately and you might be banned. Sorry, them's the rules ...
