I've seen this fitted to TD4's in pictures. In the Rimmer's catalogue it says that not suitable for TD4 or V6.

Is this correct, If so, does anyone know why this is, please?

What year do you want it for?
Pre-facelife V6s have a deaper front bumper, to accommodate the width of the engine.
Facelift FL front bumpers are all the same, being 50mm deaper for all models.

Sorry, should have said. Mine's a 2001 TD4.
Also, is STC50413 the same? That may be the one that I've seen fitted to a TD4.
They do look identical.

Which one is it?

I fitted one to a 2002 1.8 and had to chop more out of the bumper for the brackets, they were marked on the back but the holes didn't line up

These are available from a couple of other Land Rover suppliers (found using the Google "shopping" option searching for STC50413) for a bit less than Rimmers want for it. :)

I like the look, but not the price... :( For the money, I could buy another FL1 and start to give Alibro a run for his money in the FL1 collection stakes... ;)

I can understand it not fitting the V6, as the bumper shell is different. The TD4 bumper shell is the same as the other 4 cylinder engines as far as I can tell.
The V6 needed a different bumper shell because the engine is so wide. The TD4 engine isn't any wider then the 1.8 or L series. So it would make sense that it uses the same bumper shell as the other 4 cylinder engines.

Doesn't Td4K1.8 2001MY on have different bumper crashbar and chassis legs compared to L series and early K1.8?
The internal structure was changed for sure. It was beefed up to improve crash resistance. The bumper shell appears to be the same though.

DD fitted the facelift conversion to an L series, so it's definitely not to different.
The A bar might need slightly different shaped brackets, but otherwise should fit ok. I wouldn't hesitate to give it a go.
