**** off Draper.

Bought this today and on the second rivet this happened...piece of ****. Not buying draper again.

I was replacing the bottom seal on the doors. The rivet jammed and when I tried to pull it off that happened.

You are supposed to open the handles to release the rivet shank. Not use the bloody tool as a crowbar.

I know. Didn't work. Tried unscrewing the back and taking it apart but that didn't work either.

Haha yeh might give draper a miss for a while. I had seen those. Do they snap the rivet off in one go or does it take a few pulls?

From what I've found, Draper tools do tend to be at the cheaper end of availability. Sometimes you get reasonable tools other times total crap, it depends on what you're looking for, but those Clarke lazy tongs do look reasonable.

It says RIVET GUN

Not rivets gun.

Only guaranteed for one.

Draper redline is the bottom end diy range and as such is cheap

It should however have lasted longer than it did but you can buy higher priced and better quality draper rivet guns

If you get it to full extension ( ooh er!), then one pull is enough ( its getting worse ) - and if you can't, then multiple pulls will be required

And, yes, I am taking about the lazy tongs riveter

Mine has set boxes and boxes of rivets over the years I've had it - whether the modern ones are the same quality or not, I've no idea !!
