My rear door has seen better days, holes and rotten.

Paddocks is doing one for 130EUR but the description is non existant - anyone bought one of these? http://www.paddockspares.com/2007u-rear-safari-door-unglazed-series-and-early-90-110.html

SP 4x4 is doing one for around 330GBP
http://www.sp-4x4.com/DEFENDER_90_110_GENUINE_GALVANISED_REAR_DOOR_p/ajc6g.htm Description is good and obviously a door that will last ages.

I presume the Paddock's one isn't galvanised, but is that the only difference?

Here's mine from today after i took off the door card

Keep an eye on mod-sales.com in the auctions 40 percent of the time they have a rear door, alas I just checked and they don't have one now but theirs are nos(new old stock)

I would go for the Galv one
I had the standard door from sp 4x4 and its ****e!
Only been on the car 6 months and it is starting to rust already!
I think the main problem, is they put the skin on the frame, then prime it, so inside is still bare metal WTF!
but ****ty really,

Damn! I'd have gone for the galvanised one but the car needs quite a lot of work doing and I need the £200 difference for other items.

I made the same mistake about 8 yrs ago. Paid to have it painted and it started rusting within months. Galv ones didn't cross my mind this time. However, I peeled the new door skins off and had the frames plastic coated to keep the two metals apart and water off the outside of the steel frame. Filled the inside of the frame with dinitrol. Won't be as good as galv, but my fingers are crossed that they last a long time.

Same, mine is looking sorry for itself after a few years already

Sp 4x4 is my friends place if you contact him direct he may be able to offer you some discount. And as for ****ty doors by them not much different to what land rover produced straight out of the factory hey!!! That's why he does the galvanised ones.
