hi all I have been trawling through freelander parts , really looking at some new turbo hoses as I was thinking of going for some blue ones ,but I am shocked by some sellers wanting much more in fact £9 more to post to Northern Ireland why? As Northern Ireland is part of the U.K.and the postage is exactly the same price , they are nothing more than rip off merchants and I will never ever buy from them ,and no I do not live in N/Ireland I just feel sorry for those lands owners who do, or any body come to that .

Although postal prices may be the same, maybe courier/parcel prices are higher if its off the mainland. That's basically how it works here - postage of letters is the same nationally, but parcels cost more to send to a different island.

I live in the EU, the postage prices are the same (or should be as far as NI is concerned) - 9 quid is a good price.
What I tend to do is find out the max weight of the items at that price and order other things I need in the same parcel.
Win Win. :)

It depends on who they use. Some fly UK mainland to NI. Others fly UK mainland to Europe, then fly centralised goods to NI. Later option is more expensive as it travels more.

When I sent a D3 towing wiring kit to NI, it cost the same as if I sent it to the mainland. How that was only through the Post office. If I used a courier, it would have been much more expensive.

Thanks Teddy for your kind support. I've been saying this for years but unfortunately lots of sellers use couriers who charge extra for sending over the water. When I find one that doesn't charge extra I use them as much as I can.

Alibro ask them to use the post office or even collect plus they charge the same as if going to an English address I know I have used them both ROI it does cost more but handy if you have a good friend in the north but close by.

I've tried that before and it's more hassle than its worth. I tend to go else where and look for a seller who uses Royal Mail or go buy from Amazon.

well I use Collect plus unless it is going to IR and they have never failed me but I always pay for a signature as in the past I have had it a couple of time in England where they say they have not gotten the parcel now there is no doubt.
