What's the most checkerplate have you seen on a landy?

It is a hard thing. Its a bloody useful and protective addition but so easy to go OTT. There was a pic on here somewhere of a Fender which was literally 50% plate... and a Defender/Series which was plate inside and out, the windows, the dash, the floor, everything. (edit - literally posted as I was typing!)

IMO wing tops, rear quarters, sills, door tops on certain models. Any more is OTT

I think he/she started it as repairs then went overboard as it just gradually rotted away!!! Beware of the checkerplate chassis!!!

Why not do the windscreen so that no one can see you in it.

Mine has checkered plates on the running board and the side step and thats just about enough for me

Thats about as far as i would go. Maybe bonnet aswell but has to be colour coded. hate it left shiney.
