The short answer?
YES.

The long answer?
YES. At least then you will know when it was last done.
The best place is your local indie garage or any garage that you trust, these days almost all of them will know what's needed.
You'll need a full set of filters; air, oil and fuel, and possibly new washer seals for the various drain plugs. You'll also need the different oils for the engine, gearbox, transfer box, and both front and back axles. You should also request that they grease all available grease nipples on the prop shafts and any nipples which might be present on the steering ball joints. (There shouldn't be any, but some previous owner might have replaced some joints with greaseable rather than "greased for life" components).

What I men was, Land Rover did not fit a 300tdi in a UK civilian vehicle in 2001 and you have posted in general so we're playing 'guess the vehicle' again, although I see you posted more or less the same question on a completely different website which is for defenders only so guess it's a defender.

The 300Tdi engine was replaced by the Td5 engine in 1998, which is why your 2001 model 300Tdi is being questioned. It is possible that you have a 2001 model which has had it's engine removed and an older 300Tdi engine put in.
You may be able to find a Land Rover independent garage to supply your service items. This is different to a Land Rover Main Dealer, which will be a lot more expensive.
Or, you could buy them from an online supplier here in the UK. Such as Paddocks (click here) There are other online suppliers you could get the service parts from such as SP4x4, Craddocks, LR Direct and many more. Some sell the items together in kits, others you will have to buy the separate parts.

Ah, all is becoming clear. An African defender buyer could choose between a 300tdi or a td5 for about 8 years after we lost the 300tdi.

I didn't know that! 8 years is a long time to be fitting a superseded engine, I would have thought. I wonder why African customers got the choice and we didn't?
Anyway, looks the link to the Paddocks 300Tdi page will be ok after all.

Emissions. We had the engine took away from our market because of strict European legislation that only applies to, well, Europe:)
Think the low quality of their diesel had a part in it as well.

Without service history, cam belt is the first consideration, then the rest can be done as you drive, assuming levels are checked.
