Saw a crackin lockable box in lro international some months back. It fits exactly between the wheel boxes in a defender. And I've got a feeling it was the same height as the wheel boxes. the good thing about that was that you could stand say a dog cage on top , saving space . couldn't find it in this months I'll see if I can find it in any back issues I've got lying around.

this might be a handy site Forgetec4x4 makers of steering guards, sump guards, jackable sills & ground anchors

That'll be Mobile storage systems very very expensive.

There are similar boxes on Ebay much cheaper.

Also Anchor supplies had some Alloy storage boxes which looked quiet useful try their website.

Cheap option I'm looking at is a couple of filing cabinet drawers side by side with the cabinet cut down & welded to suit. Not got any measurement yet but if you cut the top half of the drawer front off they should be just the right height.

I'm just going to fabricate my own boxes to suit what ever my needs are, i think it'll be cheaper and i can get some light gauge steel if any one might be interested!

i wouldnt know what to do with the 1st 2 but drill and pop rivet might work. all my folds would be **** offline though... this id rather $$$$ someone :) or just buy a couple of wolf boxes.

making a fold for a box is easy you cut out a cross shape on a piece of metal sheet with an allowance for the corners and the folder will put a nice neat crease in it for you I'm a bidding for a metal folder on Ebay at the minute. If I win it I'll be more than happy to make some up for you.

cud do but i make a lot of body panel for classic cars and fuel tanks to order.
