Exhaust Conversion ?

Hi guys

Soon i will be converting my 90 to a recon'd Disco 200tdi engine, atm its fitted with Def 200tdi engine and want to know will the Disco down pipe connect to the Def centre pipe, i know the obviouse thing to do would be to swap over the manifolds but i want to keep to the Disco setup.

I know Steve Parker do a Disco to Def exhaust down pipe conversion but it uses exhaust clamps and the Def centre pipe has a 2 bolt flange, its not a big problem if i have to go down the SP route but the Disco down pipe is a lot cheaper than the SP one.

the 90 is fitted with the original LT77 Bellhousing and box if that helps

why dont you convert disco to def using your old engine for parts

Just buy one from a scrap discovery with them already on as it's a straightforward swap just swap the drive flange from a three bolt to a four bolt one

I welded the 2 bolt flange off me old NA downpipe to the SP downpipe. So no clamp at that point.

why ,it allways looks like a conversion with modded exhaust and front fan issues,if you want extra power tune the pump

Why? It's a lash up at best.
Swap the FIP as i think the disco one gives a touch more power

Concert one engine to def then flog the other?
