Do soft tops still exist?

Hi all..... apologies in advance for posting a pseudo want ad here but being a total newb to this particular forum I'm not qualified for another 48 posts to post this in the classifieds.... which sucks because currently there is enough sloppy snow inside my 03 se3 to build a snowman.... and my sub already drowned.

I live in Canada. The se3 was never sold in Canada. Landrover dealers here are not nice people. Argued the existence of my landrover and whether it was imported correctly. It was bought in the USA (New York) in June 2003. Spent most of its life in sunny Florida and somewhere along its journey it acquired a soft top. There is a chance it never had a hard top. The USA dealers don't have access to such a part and I'm stuck with a gaping hole over the rear quarter of my poor Landy.

So I ask: do soft tops still get sold for the freelander 1? Does anyone have one kicking around? I have made a connection with a shop in the UK who is willing to ship overseas if that is an issue. Please help. My next step is to make my own and I'm not the kind of girl who should be allowed near a sewing machine.

Thank you.

Yes they are available but they are really expensive. Something like 1000GBP so in dollars, I'm guessing twice that figure. The part number is STC7993AC.
It would be cheaper for you to find an auto trimmer local to you, carry out a repair. Or maybe you can find a hardback roof off of a 3 door Freelander locally that will fit in place of the softback.

Those would be great ideas except apparently only 2000 se3 units were sold in North America exclusive to 2003/2004 and that did not include canada (none sold in canada). I tried to buy a hard top from the USA but the vendor screwed up large and it got stopped midway due to oversize and they won't release it back.

Sewing one up by a pro is going to cost large let alone the fact that everyone says they can't fix the shattered windows.

I'd really like to find a used soft top and ship it back.

Landrover north america won't help me at all. I've given up on them.

Owners of Classic convertibles have this issue. Owners here of Classic English convertible cars will almost definitely have to have a cover sent from the UK. I'm sure replacement covers for F1 should be available somewhere and the parcel should not be to big to ship internationally. It does need your frame to be serviceable condition.

However, I feel your real solution, assuming you are like 95% of Canadians and live near the border, is to take a road trip into the US and buy yourself a hardback. I wouldn't think a softback Freelander is an ideal daily drive in a Canadian winter!

Yes I'm only 2 hours away from the nearest border crossing. I'd rather source a soft top from some one here and get is shpiped back.... I never minded having one on my wranglers in winter. Actually the only use I have for a hard top is a pet house in the yard.

I know jls landrover has one on ebay but for whatever reason they won't reply to my emails (through the eBay listing or direct to the shop).
