Sat nav upgrade

I'd not bother, it's rubbish and no recent updates have been available. You're better off using an off the shelf nav ;)

You could try installing one of the touchscreen double din navs - go on ebay and search for "double din gps". Plus some have reversing camera functions. You'll need an adaptor (unless your car already has a non Land Rover radio fitted) and could have the whole shebang fitted for under £150 or even less...

Or you could do what I did. I bought a Tom Tom start 500. I then removed the clock and its surround and stuck the Tom Tom in the clock recess using a couple of bits of butyl tape, I fed the power lead back through the clock hole to the centre console to pick up power off the cigarette lighter. It look almost as if it was designed to be there,Its quite a nice sat nav and even switches on when you start the engine.

Oo yeah pics please!!
I'm looking for a Freelander at the moment and I fully intend to do something that looks factory. I did a similar thing on my nav-less D3 using a trim panel from a D4.
