Any one had this guy's? I've got a 03 90 and it started last night under heavy braking. I've checked the hand brake is off and knocking it doesn't bring the light on, the brake fluid level is ok too. It's now doing it intermittent at lights etc. Seems worse if the nose is facing downhill. But can't be sure yet

Anyone had this?

I had this and cured it. There's a chamber for the float switch on the underside of the cap. It has a little hole in it to allow the brake fluid inside to equalize with the level in the reservoir. I enlarged the hole slightly so as to let the fluid levels equalize a bit more quickly, and haven't seen the light flicker since. Like yours, mine seemed to come on when braking hard or going downhill (or better still, braking hard while going downhill), presumably because the fluid was surging forwards and letting the switch close.

Of course, it's a good idea to check the rest of the braking system and wiring to see if anything else could be causing it, just for safety's sake.

I did as you said and I've got rid of the light. I also topper up the fluid as it was about midway between high and low. I will just have to remember when I fit new pads!
I did find a weep on the brakes on what I think is the bias valve (long metal thing which sends fluid to each caliper) so will keep an eye on this
