Yep, i know they would hang out the back some, but how awkward is it?

Ive looked up dimensions, but its still not that clear to me.

Basically, im wondering if its awkward, but possible (as a one time job), or not that bad?

I dont know the legal issues with having stuff poking out the back? You see people doing that kind of stuff all the time, but that does not mean a lot...

Thanks

Three lengths of timber across the top, side to side, sheets on top, straps over the top. That's how I carry 8x4 on my 6x4 trailer. Or resting against the tailgate and on the roof.

There's nothing specific legally about back door being open other than light and number plate visibility so long as rear projection is less than a metre and the normal stuff about secured and safe etc.

If you pass out from CO2 poisoning you may be in a spot of bother.

Im thinking about this in regards to what truck to be looking for -

Im swinging to either a truck cab 110, or a high capacity - both would end up with an ifor williams back.

So overhanging the sides wouldnt be an option.

Basically, 8x4s are awkward to move about, and, if they were relevantly easy in a high cap, compared to a standard truck cab 110, that might sway it for me.

I dont really want to be unbolting the ifor williams back every time though.

These are just plans at the moment - ive a very tenuous lead on a 101 gs, so that would eclipse them all : )
