as per title, i keep losing my oil pressure light, no power to oil pressure switch, it will be ok for a bit then disapear
wich contact??, i have tested feed wire to oil pressure switch and its dead
when you say switch, do you mean relay switch, if so my origanal question was , is there a relay on the oil pressure,
fitted new lucas pressure switch today, and the way i understood it is that 12v feed to switch and earthed = oil light on. oil pressure rises as engine starts and switch cut feed = oil light goes off, please correct me if this is wrong
That should be fine, not seen a relay in a normal oil pressure circuit.looks like i will have to wire a different set up in, i will run a new feed off the ignition through a bulb + holder set it dash down to oil pressure switch, this does work as i have tried it before, i looked in a workshop manual today and it seems there isn't a relay for it
