my rangie is making a tap sort of noise. Goes away above 3k got oil water ect. Its an engine noise not drive line. noticed my viscous fan this is a warm engine but not upto temp as in balanced on the v/f if that makes sence. but its got play back and forward in it. Would this give a tap tap and a slight squeel under hard throttle? Not a metallic tap tap but an exhaust manifold sort of tap tap? Also have i the right fan mine looks like a v8 one? Never gone past half way on gauge

Hahaha aye it properly is il try exhaust manifold gasket that may be the tick and take off aux belt. (1 rev will tell) is the sump pick up prone for blocking on a diesel p38?

a friend of mine who used to race said that to me once to wind me up, made me frigging paranoid that my engine was about to let go. the f**ker !!

it's kind of true in a loose truth, but it doesnt half make you 'noid !!

Id be worried if a 30k mile engine was chapping. Possible though. il have a fiddle tomorrow think im over thinking. Exhaust manifold gasket is pretty much what it sounds like
