I've fitted an old spot on a gutter mount (didn't want more holes) as a work light and have gone through the redundant rear washer jet hole.

It's a 55w lamp, do I need a relay? I don't want it coming on with reverse or anything like that. A simple switch up front is all I need and not even fussy if it's wired to the accessory feed (in fact probably prefer if not - so keys not needed in ignition). I've got an illuminated switch from maplin http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/round-12v-rocker-switch-illuminated-red-n32fb which says it's a 10a

Cheers all

Well this thread wasnt what I was hoping for :(

Well, I am still in bed. However, we have a 9 week old baby. So, it's not really what I was hoping for either. That's why I'm on a car forum talking to strangers at 6 in the morning and not doing anything else

There's nobody more disappointed than me

;)

Well... When you put it like that I dont feel so bad... Congrats on the little bundle of joy by the way :) either its sleeping really well and your awake before it or you've not slept a wink all night and your still up lol..

Ha, i'm sleeping right through the night, not sure what all the fuss is about really :) Poor mummy though, up 3 times a night to feed her (not my fault I don't have boobies)

:)

Most unfair a ****ting and puking machine gets the boobies, still only a temporary situation:D

Glad it's not disrupting your sleep and get her on the pill etc unless you want another issue.

Sorry to be boring, but a 10amp switch should be able to cope without a relay. You should be drawing around 5 boobies. Or amps.

Thanks zeaphod, I just logged on to mention although talking about boobies is my forte, it never actually answered my question :)
