If you want the best job then the only way is to do it yourself.
I personally don't feel your landy gets all the care and attention it needs when someone else does it.
Ofcourse anything is better than nothing though but for me I do it myself and pay a great attention to detail working waxoyle into every nook and cranny. Every vehicle is in different condition and requires certain attention.
garages charge about £130+ but your just gonna get a quick steam blast and then sprayed on job done.
It's just another car to get done to them. But to you its YOUR car so you'll make sure you get every bit of rust off and treated up

...completely agree....I got , I think its called, a Shultz gun http://www.frost.co.uk/wax-schutz-shutz-gun.html, and an average compressor which you could hire. I used dinitrol and found I could be very accurate where it would spray, then sprayed into every chassis hole I could with other types of dinitrol. Have a look on Frosts website for full kits. Very pleased with the results, of course it's all in the prep, clean off chassis thoroughly, dry thoroughly, I left mine in an open barn for a few days. Make sure you cover your discs and drums with bin bags.
ps well worth warming all the treatment cartridges in hot water so it all flows nicely when blown onto and into the chassis.

Did mine myself after spending an eternity researching who and where, reading endless posts about "he said this but did that etc". Did it myself, mate has a hot washer so spent ages cleaning and drying, up on the ramps, used dinitrol. It's all in the prep. Needs a touch up now, but very happy with how it's performed. If you do it yourself, you know exactly how good it was.

If it is a quality job it will take a long time, so it will be very expensive. Doing it for a few hundred quid means they have not taken time to thoroughly clean and dry prior to spraying.
You really are much better doing it yourself, you can be really thorough. Dinitrol is far better than waxoyl, and much easier to spray. Remember it is the inside that is the most important, and the cavities in the door pillars etc. Remove hinges for access to those. Dinitrol 3125 is excellent for the inside, there is a thicker one for outside, but I cant remember the number of that one.

Ramp is good, but jacks, ramps and axle stands are perfectly adequate.
And it is probably better to do it outside. The pressure washing and prepping will make a hell of a mess, and loads of dinitrol will probably run out after spraying. Light is much better outside for working under a vehicle too.

IM looking into buying a loading ramp off an articulated car transporter ... Might be just in time no hairy faces here .... :/
no hairy faces here .... :/Hi, I had mine waxoyl treated at Nene when I bought it, they steam cleaned it, let it dry out, then treated, it's lasted ages! It took a couple of days for the drying out properly, and it wasn't cheap but it was worth it at the time. I would like to do myself next time if I could, as it's not complicated, just trixy if you don't have a ramp.
