Hi everyone, happy new year to you all.

Right, bought Disco 3 in september. Beautiful car and ,up till now no probs, but when the weather turns cold ie minus temperatures it refuses to start, not even a splutter. un burnt diesel smoke comes from both pipes but it will not start. When temp rises it starts and runs as it should. There are no lights on dash board. My thoughts are, frozen water somewhere maybe.?

Any help will, as always, be much appreciated

does it turn over but just not fireing if so it will be glow plugs they are quite common on 2720s but changing them is a bastard cause they have a tendency to snapping then its a heads off job cheers mike

He did say he's getting smoke, so got fuel, but worth changing if it hasn't been done

I did read all the posts, reason I say this is that with TDV6's there is only 7psi of fuel pressure from the electric in tank pump. The fuel filters are often not changed frequently enough and in low temps they simply wont pass enough fuel either for a decent start quantity. It may well be injecting, but simply not enough to start it.
You cant rely on a service book stamp or read the supply pressure on diagnostics, the only way to see supply pressure is a gauge hooked up to the Schrader valve on top of the engine.Again not easy for most owners to do,fitting a new filter is the simpler option.
