no cooling fan

Iv just noticed that my new disco hasnt got a cooling fan, does anybody know why it would of been removed and how much trouble will this cause me?

None at all if a diesel as they run cool anyway according to their owners, but loads if petrol.

You noticed after you'd bought it? And tbh it's a subject of some debate some never run them and others think it'll boil over as soon as you remove it. My RR doesn't have one now and I've noticed that other than it being much quieter and maybe a tiny bit more grunt no temp difference at all. If your towing a 3.5 load every day I'd fit one to be safe but my RR doesn't tow anything nor will it and I don't off road her.

Well I didnt buy it I acquired it, I was having a look around tonight when I noticed it, does anybody know how difficult it is to replace?

The viscous fan spins on after removing the cowling for access, then tighten with a spanner I suggest you get yourself a Haynes workshop manual.

iv'e taken mine back off and its hell of a lot quiter and as littlewill said a little bit more pulling power i also think its a little bit better on fuel

It just sits there but it has been very cold and iv onky had her for a few days.

Not had the fan on mine for 12 months and it's fine.
