Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Not happy, I'm wet, cold and totally ****ed off with this fecking one way money box!!!!! I'm think Defenders should come with a warning sign! :p

Anyone else had issues removing the door hinges on the bulkhead.?! I've done this job loads of times, for some reason these ones won't budge. I've done everything I can think of, heat, WD40 and the good old impact wrench. Oh did I mention that I must have cracked my ****ting hand at least eight times with this fecking engineering hammer when it slipped of the wrench - not good idea on a freezing cold day!!!

I think last option is to drill the heads off and pray I don't drop the captive nuts inside the bulkhead!!!!!!

So what if they drop inside?
You wouldn't be re-using old (rusty) ones anyway and they are easy enough to fish out with a magnetic pick-up wand (99P).

On reassembly use SS fixings and copious amounts of Waxoyl.
Mine came undone with ease last year yet I had fitted them 11-years before.

Only way really now is to drill them out, I had the same problem.
How many bolts do you need? Ive got some new ones and the captive nuts, not sure how many ive got but if you need them in a hurry you can have these.

Yes please, so far I require enough for one door. I suspect the same thing is going to happen on the other side tho :(
Got 3 captive nuts, 3 of the longer bolts and 2 of the shorter, you can have.
They sell them individual at a local landrover specialist near me if you need more.

Get one of those magnet pick up tools, it will clear out the rusty crud and drilled out bolts from your lower hinge hole.

Eh??? Rusty crud from your lower hinge hole.

And as for another rattle, isn't that like adding another marble in a biscuit tin:D
If all you are doing is taking the head off then it shouldn't drop inside anyway, mine didn't when I did mine and I can recommend cobalt drill bits for getting them off with.

Let them fall, if the bottom of your door pillar is knackered you might be able to fish them through the rust hole, or a magnet on a string or leave them in there and tip some waxoyle down to bind them together.
