Are there any threads anywhere on how to get the downpipes off a v8 disco1?

I've searched and can't find anything.

Any special tools required, special techniques, things to know etc.

Thanks

There's only one pipe as such which is called because of its shape a Y pipe, so just undo the six nuts (three on each manifold) and if you want to remove the Y pipe completely two nuts joining the pipe to the middle silencer.
No special tools required just spray 'Plusgas' beforehand and new gaskets are required when refitting.
If u have an auto and if it's box has been serviced it may be easy as the Y pipe has to be removed to change the auto box filter.
