IN MY SHED
Finished the axle rebuilds this weekend, so just have to wait on my new chassis to arrive
so im going through my list of things to buy ect
I was thinking about making my own brake pipes but i dont have the tool to flare the ends etc

so is it worth buying the kit and doing my own or buying a complete set
or is there any member who would be willing to make me a set for a fee

Slightly different to what your saying. But i had copper brake pipes made up by a local motor factor, that is generally very good trade prices for stuff.

But, in the end its actually worked out more expensive having them made up, than buying the pipe/unions and flaring too. Halfords sell 25ft of pipe for £10.
Basically i wish i had made my own.

Hope this helps

Buy a tool and do them yourself.
Infact didn't landowner offer do make you some up on another thread a while back?

Did he ?

I have no idea mate I have so much sh** going around in my head to do with the rebuild its mad
you should know you have done x3 :D

Depends how much you going to spend on a tool, I paid £80 for two tools so in the end it cost more to make them but in the long run it will be cheaper

+1 for the cunifer pipe.
It's nicer to use, easier to straighten and form, and doesn't work harden as much as copper.
