Vortex Performance Exhaust Review

I've just posted my 'attempt' at a review for this device.. It's in the reviews section here at LandyZone - Vortex Exhaust Review

I have just had a vortex system fitted to my 2.5 turbo diesel range rover P38 and found the difference instantly. The power is much smoother and I am getting around 600 miles on a tankfull of mixed driving which for something that weighs about 2 1/2 tonnes with an automatic box doing around 32 m.p.g. is amazing. I am fitting one onto a 620 h.p. Scania when they have built it so I will let you know on that when we have the figures.

Ok by now I am sure most of you think I work for Vortex or something. Well I dont. I can prove that.

It's a great shame that VORTEX dont come on here and prove their claims. As I know if their claims are true and you do acheive it, then more people on here will buy one.

Ok so I have two cars on Vortex exhaust systems, sadly not on a landrover.
So my review is this, (if they were as great as they say and I knew that I would have them fitted on my fleet of cars)

However I can vouch that:
1) the exhaust gasses are propelled a lot faster out of the exhaust.
2) the cars drive better and feels more powerful

But I have yet to see any difference in fuel consumption. if I did would buy them for all my cars I run. Stupied not to if it pays for it self and then saves you some.

So if your after power and better car driving get one. Although how it compairs to a re-mapping I can't say.

So you don't work for them but your very first post isnt to say hi or tell us about yourself but is telling us how great vortex are?????

My sense of smell isn't great but I'm sure some bulls have just walked past me cos it sure as he'll smells like it.

The LZ product reviews were a little 'robust' and are now buried in a lead lined strongbox encased in concrete and buried under the earths crust protected by ancient curses....

Hi, the post from me on Vortex Exhausts is me and I can show you pictures of my cars with Vortex exhausts, and I have put them on my Renault Trafic MK1 and Mercedes Viano and if you read my review and ever see the vortex exhaust you can instantly feel the difference in the airflow out the back of the exhaust. That's just a fact. Also on these three vans I have put them on definitely drive better. I also have 4 Landrovers including an Overfinch p38 Petrol Range Rover and a 2012 Diesel Range Rover Now I would like to put vortex exhausts on my Land Rovers and all cars if they saved the money back in fuel as the cars do drive better. But I have not because I like you want (but don't have) the evidence that these exhausts actually save fuel. Plus if you put them onto a Range rover because of the space under the car you need to use two of these Vortex's and since I don't need the extra power and the fact i would need to fit two, without proof that they would save me the money back to pay for themselves I also like you guys would love to know it's worth while doing. However save fuel I have found when I remapped them the fuel consumption improved. If this was helped by the vortex exhaust I would love to have the facts but I don't and as I am not a garage I decided to fit the vortex exhaust first to see the difference then remapped them a month or so later. If anyone could prove to me its saving me money I would buy one for each of the 9 cars in my fleet, but I can't justify it on power change alone, especially when they need 2 per car!!! I was told the reason I did not notice the fuel improvement was because I must be using the extra power. But I was not (well not with the mercs as I just set them at 70mph on the motorway and sit there.) But there again if you fill your car with fuel the millage you do per tank is never exactly the same so maybe it did make it better. But I like you all would just like that bit proved.
But if anyone wants maximum power from a diesel Viano or the slow Renault 1.9 D MK1 fitting a vortex will give you a better driving power and then if your car can be remapped then that will really make it go and the remapping I have found definitely improves MPG!!!

Now anyone who can prove MPG improvement please please show me factual evidence. Also happy to fit them to my Land rovers if they can test it on a rolling road to prove facts and the difference it has made.

Now thinking about it JE Engineering do a lot of performance upgrades for LandRover directly and indirectly to people like me and you. The are independent and I asked them a while ago if they have heard about Vortex and what they think. They had never heard of them. But if they were to do a honest review that would be very interesting. Oh and if they wanted to borrow my car for the tests I would not complain. JE if you decide to do this please let me know oh and you have already tuned my 2012 green Diesel Range Rover )
