Due to the ird failure tyre swap thread, just wondered about a question.. Has anyone fittied 15s to the front and 16s to the rear?
5mm tolerance on diameters
anyone doing that would be insane
Not much is it , but its true , I have not come this in 40 years of driving , with any other motor , just the unique freelander one !

Probably the chap one the hard shoulder with a pool of oil under his Freelander.
I just wonder how other "soft roaders" of the same vintage work without the same problems as the Freelander? Such as RAV4, Volvo XC70, Subaru etc.
LR's cheap components isn't it not that I know exactly what happens in the failure of the ird or box's but if it was made from stronger components I'm sure it woukd surviveProbably the chap one the hard shoulder with a pool of oil under his Freelander.

The Haldex system is quite expensive, but brilliant. I had one on my previous vehicle, a Skoda Yeti. It was very able off-road, as good if not better than all the reports. Let down by ground clearance.
