I've just been given an A127-65 alternator which has been taken off a working vehicle that has been scrapped. I've taken a photo of it still attached to the loom:

Now I've just spent an hour on the internet trying to find what the connections are but can't so I thought I would ask....

The hefty thick orange cable running to the rusty brown nut is going to be (B+) battery connection.

The brown and yellow wire is going to the dash light

Anyone know what the other connections are or have a diagram for the A127-65?

Unless I'm being stupid - which is always possible, you've only got one other connection in the pic? Brown and yellow for exciter, big cable for charge, other for revcounter. It looks like the revcounter is grounded to the cover via a capacitor.

Additions: Some of these alts also have large blade blade plugs as an alternative connection point, but internally these connect to the same terminals as the ring connectors.

Ok just had a look and I think it is going to be:

So long as "W" is correct and it isn't "+"

Will try and find an exploded diagram

This image of the rectifier confirms that the suppressor labelled as (W to contact next to B+) is suppressor between W and + because in this image you can see that that connector connects to +
