Been as high as 45 and as low as 27. My app says my average over 9k miles has been 36.2 but thats been spoilt by the odd bit of towing. Normally about 38 I'd say

Never worried about fuel consumption just fill it up and go. I think our Disco 3 got better than mine but was all just short journeys

Oh and that's rush hour stop start dual carriageway and town driving

That doesn't seem low enough for real rush hour stuff........

My TD4 returned 29mpg last tank. Driving around South London, short journeys of around 1-2 miles and about 9 stops. It's the best way to get great fuel economy........ Not. (Oh, and it's an auto)

Granted not quite stop as much as London as London is more stopping than starting. Also I don't use my car just for the commute to work. It does stretch its legs sometimes

My mpg is over a whole tank though, I know some people have other measuring devices. I don't like them much, when I had my Saab it used to say 7mpg. I quite liked not knowing tbh

I used to get 7,5 to 8lts/100km (never done the math to MPG),
now on A/T's I guess it's a bit more

7.5 liters per 100 kilometers (L/100 km) = 37.66412484 miles per gallon (mpg) [Imperial]

8 liters per 100 kilometers (L/100 km) = 35.31011704 miles per gallon (mpg) [Imperial]

thanks! so I guess I'm doing alright being most of it urban traffic (but not much stop and go), having a light foot and always checking tire pressure helps.

Very true.

I do mine over a tank as well. I have a Scangauge but I don't believe it as the Ronbox interferes with it. It is a guide, but the tankful is the best way.
