right i have sold the defender and bought a disco. the keys that i got have two buttons one to lock and one to unlock . question is does the alarm set when the doors look or whats the procedure

disco 2 es

Yes the lock button activates the locks, alarm and immobilisor and the unlock button does the opposite. If you leave it unlocked and don't start it within a certain amount of time, the immobilisor kicks in again and you'll need to press the unlock button again to dis-arm it.

Just to follow up on this, is there a way of locking the doors and immobilizing, without setting the alarm.
Only asking cos when I leave the dog in there it obviously sets the sodding alarm off every time.
thanks

If you lock on the key (1 turn to the click) then the cabin alarm is NOT set and the dog is free to move about. You unlock using the 'unlock' button though, NOT the key. I keep dogs in mine, in fact, it is a mobile kennel as far as they are concerned! :)
