do any other vehicles use the same dif bushes as the freelander ,if so anyone no which ones

No, but they are easy to obtain and there's even polybush versions out there, but generally it's assumed a shagged VCU causes the problem.

No it isn't

The bushes can fail for all sorts of reasons, polybushes are too stiff and transmit vibration to subframe mounts.

The rear diff is quite heavy and bounces around on the mounts. Even new mounts allow it to bounce.
