So loving the new TD5, few things to do to her engine wise, but what's getting on my tits is the damn dampness inside.

So any tips for keeping it abit dryer than normal? Obviously seals etc on the back door ( which is fubar'd ) but why so much condensation when i get in her in the mornings!?

Anyone fitted one of those vents on the roof to get some air flowing through theirs or a waste of time?

I was considering lining the interior with an underlay for sound and insulation like i did with my other one, but this time all in the back as well ( not the floor as it gets soaking with dogs and horse gear ).

It's a 110 Van btw

I have a spinning vent on the roof of my 110 csw. It's right at the back on the passenger side. As I have a solid partition behind the second row seats it doesn't really make a huge amount of difference in the front half but does keep the rear cooler in the summer and dryer in the winter.

Is it likely it's the dog and horse gear that is causing the condensation or is it more likely to be rain water getting in?

Yeah it's gonna be wet dogs n wellies, rugs etc but none of this is in there full time and surprisingly enough (!?) it has 2 leaks at the front into the footwell which is standard Land Rover issue.

However getting into it in the morning when there is frost on the ground after being stood still for a night i wasn't expecting the back roof to be dripping with moisture which is a pain given i carry my hand & power tools in it for work, you would kind of expect that if it was getting warm outside and heating up inside whilst moist...

I'll look into a vent and think of lining the roof and sides as well

Btw Ratty, you still got a rear door kicking about??

Mine leaks above both front doors too. Doesn't bother me. ****es the mrs off though.

Yeah I have an unglazed beige rear door going begging if ya want it?

My 110 hard top (Td5) was the same when I got it.

Had a front head lining but the back was bare ali. In the winter all my gear got soaked with the condensation.

I've now stuck sleeping roll mats and that thin thermal foil for insulating loft etc to the entire roof. Used normal carpet adhesive first but it all fell off when the sun came out. Then used Trimfix and it's stayed on.

Then bought a second hand roof lining and put this over the top so it all looks standard - think I've got a front section (above driver/passenger) left over if you want it, could do with being re-trimmed though.

Also, I've ply lined the sides and floor and packed insulation behind it.

No condensation at all now and it warms up quicker too
